SEASON ZERO · AUTUMN 2026

Meet for a reason.
Return to the beginning.

Today’s platforms encourage permanent profiles, expanding audiences and connections that rarely expire. Socials asks whether people can meet around an idea, be known for a season, and then become unknown again.

THE QUESTION

What if a social network did not try to keep everyone you had ever met?

Our public and professional identities now overlap. Familiar contacts, silent observers, unwanted approaches and accumulated history can all shape what we are willing to say—and which conversations we avoid.

A different network may begin with a question, a defined period, and permission to leave: a temporary room in which a real person can think beyond the audience they have accumulated.

THE DIGITAL MASQUERADE

The person is real.
The mask is temporary.

ONE CIRCLEONE MONTHNO PUBLIC PROFILE

Like a masquerade, participants temporarily step outside familiar roles. Unlike an anonymous crowd, every participant is privately verified and remains accountable to the host.

The mask is not an escape from responsibility. It is an escape from accumulated identity. When Season Zero ends, the mask, temporary followers and newly formed persona disappear together.

WHAT SOCIALS IS TESTING

01

Topic before profile

People discover one another through a shared question, not status, popularity, location, or existing contacts.

02

Context without exposure

A stable seasonal identity allows trust to form inside the Circle without opening a permanent public profile.

03

An ending by design

Every Circle has a closing moment. Season Zero lasts one month, then retires every temporary identity.

04

Ideas may remain

Circle discussions, links and news may remain as a public archive, while every former member ID is permanently hidden.
